ORGANIST
Shin-Young Lee is an internationally acclaimed organist, renowned for her deeply expressive performances and original concert programs that combine core organ repertoire with her own transcriptions. She has appeared in major concert halls across five continents, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Berlin Philharmonie, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Sejong Center in Seoul, and Zaryadye Hall in Moscow.
A frequent soloist with orchestra, she performed Barber’s Toccata Festiva and Diemer’s Organ Concerto at the American Guild of Organists National Convention in San Francisco (2024). She has been featured at leading international festivals such as the Lahti Organ Festival, Haarlem Festival, Festival Musica, Montréal Bach Festival, and “Toulouse les orgues.”
Lee is also an active educator and juror at international competitions, and served as a guest artist at Yale University in Fall 2024. Passionate about transcription, she has arranged works by Bach, Saint-Saëns, Borodin, Ravel, and Prokofiev. Her recent transcription of Saint-Saëns’s Le Carnaval des Animaux was published by Schott and featured in a video recorded on the Radio France organ.
